Heather Spears - Drawing Music and Song

DRAWING MUSIC AND SONG

Similar to the course taught by Heather Spears on drawing the figure in motion, but in one location, and with only musicians as subjects. Room should have chairs and a piano.

2 Days: 2 hr. 30 minutes for each model (singer and pianist together) with pauses and instruction. Again, possibility of exhibition at music school or concert hall.

Materials: 6B pencils; malleable art erasers; paper: A4 copy paper, backs or mounts for this size (or, A4 sketchbooks).

5 Models: Suggestions – musicians who play an instrument held close to the body: bagpipe player, guitar or lute player, cellist; singer and accompanist.
